About us at BRÚ House, Navan
After opening the BRÚ Houses in Newbridge and Fairview, Daire and Dave couldn't resist the temptation of a third BRÚ House in their home county. The closest pub to the homestead with our Brewery only a 15 minute drive away in Trim county Meath. BRÚ opened its third pub in the 18 week period from September to late November 2016.
We have pulled out all the stops for the good people of Navan. The perfect mixture of lovely high ceilings, original parquet flooring, open fires, mixed with comfortable leather furniture adding a masculine contemporary touch to an old world pub. We wanted to create a contemporary, comfortable space where you can meet friends, enjoy a session of live music, try something new to drink, the BRÚ way. Whether you’re looking for a quiet corner or a quick chat, in BRÚ House, you'll always be well looked after. Our feature circular bar is the focal point with three distinct bar areas off it. We respect the old but relish the new with age old world whiskies, new age gins and cocktails for every age.
We also installed a custom built micro brewery in the beer garden area. BOB brews 300 litres at a time and is fully manual like our 80 hectolitre plant in Trim. BOB brews rare, specialty & custom made beers. We have brewing days where you can come along and brew your own with our master brewer on hand to answer all your questions. On tap and in bottle we stock our full range of award winning craft beers. Our beers are nothing but natural. Made from 100% Irish wheat and barley, everything about our beer is free except the price. Chemical free, additive free, preservative free. Even our water is fluoride and chloride free. We also have a selection of guest beers on rotation, ciders and a large range of gins, spirits and wines.
Our kitchen is led by Lee Doyle and his team of talented chefs. Our food is simple Irish gastro pub style. All freshly prepared on site and cooked to order. Like our beer it will be additive and chemical free. Nothing too clever or patronising, dishes like a great Irish steak, homemade pies and ham hock. Fish and chips with our own beer batter and where possible most dishes are gluten free adaptable. Drop in and check out our daily specials. Open everyday for lunch too. Or if you feel like a treat try our barista coffee and tempting desserts such as homemade doughnuts with vanilla milkshake.
